The Grey NATO – 338 – Going Pro With Writer-Photographer Troy Barmore
As we continue a run of episodes with special guests for the summer, this week, Jason and James welcome Troy Barmore to the show. Troy is a New York-based writer and photographer who specializes in watches but has also dipped into heritage goods, luxury eyewear, adventure, and more. His work has appeared in Revolution, Analog Shift, and most recently, Hodinkee. The TGN boys find a kindred spirit in Troy as the trio chat about his start in watches, how he thinks about his work, and his tips for breaking into the world of professional photography.
Stay in the mix for a Final Notes that will have you winding up in a lake (in the ‘80s, no less), while you take your phone photography up a level and focus on your breathing.
